Course Description:

Fashion and Textiles 9 is an introductory class for students who are interested in fashion, colours, prints and fabrics.  Ready to update your wardrobe by creating clothing and accessories that fit properly and reflect your own personal style?  Are you interested in fashion drawing, screen printing t-shirts, sewing, knitting, weaving, quilting and creating beautiful and unique handmade projects?  If you said "yes" to any of the above then this course is for you.

Beginner students explore and learn about basic principals of design and sewing techniques before creating their own clothing.

As students become more comfortable with basic tools and techniques they explore more specialize equipment and tools such as the serger and embroidry machine.

A hand crafted, upcycled fancy pincushion is one of the many unique and personalized projects a student can choose to design.
